Hot, easy SSAA(T) arrangement for middle school group:input

Postby Jordan » Thu Jan 02, 2014 5:29 pm

I pulled the trigger tonight... After a good telephone conversation, the local middle school choir teacher is going to seek permission to let me (Me?!?) form and direct a middle school a cappella group!

So...now I need to find a fun, 12 year old targeted up tune arranged for all treble voices. Something that has learning tracks would certainly help my cause (and patience). We're shooting for 8-12 singers (everybody doubles a part, minimal or no divisi...baby steps). Any suggestions?

For middle school, your boys are really just Alto II- go ahead and look for SSAA arrangements. There are tons of arrangements out there by Deke Sharon, Rob Dietz, etc. Many come with at least a midi, so you should be able to mute tracks to listen to just the parts you want. When I was in middle school, we had cassette tapes of our part sung by our teacher over a piano (LOL).
