Ninja finished the evening with Fortnite Items

The real games were much different than anything we've seen from Ninja's flow before. Many of these players had flown out specifically for this occasion, and some were some of the very best players in the world. Ninja, an ex-Halo expert long prior to his Fortnite days, is extremely talented, but that was far from his usual stomping of randoms on stream.

Ninja finished the evening with Fortnite Items just one win out of two matches, however given his rivalry, that was nevertheless impressive (when Ninja won, cash went to an Alzheimer charity), and he also had two second places. Later, a player called 4DRStormYT won, and once the camera panned to him it revealed a smiling 14 year old who'd clearly just experienced the best moment of his life.

The one unfortunate turn of this day was the performance of Myth, the second most popular Fortnite streamer after Ninja who attended the occasion and played three matches in heat 3. After dying to collapse damage in game 1, Myth ended up perishing outside the top 40 in the following two matches, a unsatisfactory positioning both for him personally and fans who had been hoping for epic moments like a 1v1 Ninja vs. Myth final showdown. And yet it was Myth's presence that arguably helped the flow break records. The episode was hovering between 400,000 and 500,000 audiences most of the night, however when Myth began playing, it took around 600,000, finally topping out in the new record, 680,000.
