Phoenix soprano auditions

Postby Mckell » Sun Mar 19, 2006 8:52 pm

5 degrees Cooler in the Phoenix area is scheduling soprano auditions for our mixed quintet. Charla Esser has moved on to focusing on her songwriting, solo CD, teaching and jewelry making - things that actually bring in more money. :-)

Please see our website to get an idea of what we do: http://5degreesCooler.com We're looking for someone comfortable with pop, jazz and choral music, and reading music is required. Vocal percussion basics and some experience with scat singing would be great, but are optional. Rehearsals are usually on Tuesday nights in Tempe. This is a part time, "mostly for fun and the love of singing", group, although we do occasionally have paid gigs, and we could be more serious about working regularly with the right person to motivate us! There's a strong likelihood we'll record songs for a CD this year. I'll try to update the songlist later tonight. We have new songs not listed, and there are a few songs on there we no longer perform.

Please forward on to all Phoenix area sopranos who might be interested. In general, we're looking for someone between 25 - 40 years old, because that keeps it close to our age range, but this is flexible.

Thanks for your help. I hope you're all doing well!
