Program Manager of Grantwriting

Responsibilities
The PM of Grantwriting will be responsible for identifying potential grant-giving organizations, drafting grant requests, liaising with grant-giving organizations, and ultimately securing grant monies for CASA. Historically CASA has not applied for grants, so the PM will have the opportunity to grow this area of the organization from the ground up. The PM will leverage existing relationships, learn the CASA business, and create opportunities that align with the mission of CASA. The PM of Grantwriting is a volunteer position and reports to the Director of Development.

Required Experience
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
● 3 or more years experience in a grant-writing capacity
● Established contacts in the grant-giving / arts non-profit arena
● At least one past role in an arts or arts-related organization
● Some knowledge of vocal music, contemporary a cappella, and music education
● Ability to manage details, to multi-task, to take active initiative as appropriate
● Ability to work remotely, often via email and phone with teammates
● Ability to devote a minimum of 7 hours per week to the position

CASA was formed in 1992 to create a community between singers and fans of contemporary a cappella. There are thousands of contemporary a cappella groups and countless a cappella fans around the US and world, ranging from high school and college ensembles to professionals and recreational groups and CASA is their organization CASA operates a number of annual educational and performance events throughout the calendar year and across the country. CASA is a clearinghouse of information providing a directory, concert listings, news, album and concert reviews, blogs, podcasts, interviews, videos, MP3 downloads, local contacts, and photos. CASA is a 501(c)3.
